But after having spent some time as a travel agent, I realized I was doing myself a huge disservice. So I wanted to take a minute to share with you how using a travel agent can really add lasting value to your travel plans!
You can't VIP yourself. This is something we often say when working with our clients. As professional travel agents, over the years we have built relationships with many different cruise lines, tour companies, resorts, and hotels. We have the ability and the connections to give you all the "extras" and little perks that you would not be able to give yourself. You don't know what you don't know. We are the experts. We know what questions to ask and how to answer yours. We know that spending money on travel is an investment and we understand that you have a lot of important decisions to make. We want to make sure you are informed and we have all the inside information that can help you achieve your best possible vacation. We've got your back! If anything should go wrong, we are here to help you get it fixed on the spot. We will advocate for you and intervene when necessary. We will build a relationship with you. Sure, the internet can advertise recommendations based on the sites you visit. And you can look at online reviews until you're blue in the face. But when it comes to travel, nothing beats talking to someone who's been there and done that! And once we get to know you and your family, we can recommend destinations and vacation packages we think you would enjoy based on what we know you like and dislike. Consider a travel agent as your very own personal shopper. We can save you time and money. Most people are unaware of the fact that using a travel agent doesn't cost any more money, and many times, can save you money, than if you were to book on your own. Seriously! Let us handle the grunt work. It's what we're here for. Why not get a few perks, upgrades, convenience and great customer service? It's a no brainier! |
